ÖSD Exam - What is it?

The ÖSD (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch) - (Austrian Language Diploma for German) is an internationally recognized examination system for German as a foreign and second language. The examination is based on the level descriptions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It consists of a written and an oral part and is offered in 6 diploma levels (A1 to C2).

For admission to studies, for moving to German speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein), etc., you must have a certain level of German language skills. With this language test you can prove your knowledge. The certificate is recognized in all institutions (be it the university or the consulate) as a linguistic access qualification.

Beagle Academy as ÖSD examination center

The Beagle Academy (Business Experts' Academy for German Language Education, Inc.) is a certified examination center of the ÖSD and conducts monthly examinations (A1 to B2).

When do I have to pay the fees?

The examination fee must be paid at least 4 weeks before the exam date.

The enrollment for the German official exams from level A1 through B2, both for internal and external candidates, is only online (via e-mail).

How long will the exam results take?

Results take up to maximum of 6 weeks to be finalized, but the great news is Beagle Academy offers fast correction service which will expedite the release of your exam results (maximum 2 weeks) for the price of 100€.

When is the next ÖSD Exam?

The next date for the examination will be on March 25 – 26, 2023.
